Your setup

Save and load configurations

Save a setup

Use Save As… at the top of the Show Central window (or Save configuration as… in its menu-bar icon) to choose a configuration file. A configuration records your launch cues and delays, shutdown behavior and countdown, Save As rules, and OSC/MIDI/keyboard settings. Use Save As… again when you want to export later edits; automatic restore does not update an earlier exported file.

Load a setup

Use Load… at the top of the window (or Load configuration… in the menu-bar icon) and choose a Show Central configuration file. Review paths to apps, files, and Save As folders when transferring to another Mac; those resources must exist on the destination computer. Loading a configuration disarms shutdown and turns the three trigger inputs off so a transferred setup cannot immediately accept an old cue.

Automatic restore

Show Central automatically saves an internal last-session snapshot as settings change and restores it on the next launch. This is separate from an exported configuration file. Check the displayed setup before a show, particularly if files or MIDI devices changed while the app was closed.

Settings not carried by a configuration

Automatic power-on, the Mac’s weekly start/wake schedule, the applied scheduled shutdown, and launching Show Central at login are machine-specific settings. Set or verify those separately on each Mac in Power & Schedule. A configuration is not a full system backup.
