Show-day safety checklist

1. Save a backup of the Show Central configuration and any important show documents.
2. Verify this Mac’s power-on and weekly schedule status. Remember that changing a schedule requires Apply Schedule.
3. Log in, open Show Central, and confirm every app and file in the launch sequence still exists. Run the sequence and verify the result.
4. Choose the intended shutdown behavior. Test any Ableton Save As rule with disposable material.
5. Keep shutdown disarmed while checking OSC, MIDI, and keyboard input. Inspect Activity for each test.
6. Use an isolated network for OSC; its token is not encrypted.
7. Test a real shutdown with noncritical work before relying on an unattended cue.
8. Only then arm shutdown triggers. A scheduled shutdown is separate and remains active even when triggers are disarmed.

Show Central cannot bypass FileVault, the macOS login screen, a disconnected controller, an unavailable save destination, or an application that refuses to quit. Plan a human recovery path for every show.
