Two dual-channel Dante receivers provide four microphone channels. The shared EW-DX front reference photo does not show the Dante rear connectors.

  • CLR power distribution reference product photograph

    CLR power distribution

Rack-mounted power distribution and internal power wiring, specified for the installed equipment.

Also included: the CLR enclosure, fitted backplate, mounting hardware and internal power/signal patching for the agreed reference build. Product pictures identify the equipment family; final models and variants follow your quotation.

A power lead matched to the rack inlet and the regional plug agreed for your build. TRUE1 lead shown as a reference.

Your configuration sets the packing list — The rack hardware is listed here. Microphone transmitters, capsules, bodypack receivers, earpieces, external antennas and batteries are supplied only in the quantities and regional variants agreed with your configuration. Receiver antenna distribution is specified with the build; no unconfirmed combiner or distributor model is implied by the reference image. Dante receiver features do not establish a redundant rack/network topology. Travel bags and cases are optional transport choices, not included by default.

Technical specifications

Four channels
Built for your network

Reference configuration: two Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 Dante dual-channel receivers in a 4U CLR rack. Microphone transmitters, frequency variants, antenna distribution and the final patch are configured for your show.

Rack format
4U CLR rack
Receivers and channels

Digital audio output
Dante · 24 bit · 48 or 96 kHz
Analog outputs on each receiver
2 balanced XLR-3M outputs, up to +18 dBu; 2 unbalanced 6.3 mm outputs, up to +12 dBu
Analog rear patch
The illustrated rear has a Dante handoff, not analog XLR outputs; any alternative analog patch is specified separately
Audio performance
20 Hz–20 kHz (−3 dB) · 134 dB system dynamic range
Wireless-system latency
1.9 ms; Dante network transport and any downstream processing are additional
RF reception
Digital wireless with switching diversity · up to 88 MHz tuning bandwidth, depending on band variant
Microphone transmitters
Compatible Evolution Wireless Digital handheld or bodypack transmitters; microphone capsules and bodypack connectors chosen to suit the performer
Network functions
Receiver control plus Dante audio; Single Cable, Split and Redundancy modes supported by the receivers, with the final topology agreed for the system
Antenna system
Two BNC RF inputs per receiver; receiving antennas, distribution and coaxial cable loss designed for the operating band and stage
Receiver power
11–13 V DC or IEEE 802.3af Class 0 PoE · maximum 12 W per receiver; rack-level supply and backup options specified separately
Transport
Final connector counts, packed dimensions and weight confirmed for the complete configuration

Receiver connections: Use either the XLR or the unbalanced jack output for each channel, as directed by Sennheiser. The reference rear patch shows one Dante socket; a redundant primary/secondary handoff must be specified separately. Dante redundancy is a receiver/network capability, not a promise of redundant AC feeds or a fully duplicated RF system.

Compatibility & touring regions

Match the wireless
Then plan the route

EW-DX EM 2 Dante receives digital wireless microphone signals and outputs their audio onto Dante. Choose compatible EW-DX handhelds or bodypacks in the matching frequency-range variant. A shared frequency alone does not make an unrelated transmitter compatible.

Common EW-DX tuning variants include Q1-9 (470.2–550 MHz), R1-9 (520–607.8 MHz) and S1-10 (606.2–693.8 MHz). Other variants cover different regional windows. These are hardware tuning ranges, not a list of frequencies that are legal in every country.

Select receiving antennas and distribution with a usable range covering the chosen band; antenna bandwidth cannot extend the receiver’s tuning range. Capsule mounts and bodypack input accessories must also match the transmitter.

Touring configuration starts with your destinations. Confirm current spectrum permissions, licensing and radiated-power limits with the relevant local authority or RF coordinator, then coordinate usable channels at each venue. One band variant is not promised to work legally or without interference everywhere.

Protection for the road

A fitted Peli case adds rigid protection, with an insert and accessory space planned for your complete rack.

The rear patch

How it connects

  • Compatible microphone transmitters send four channels over digital RF to the two EW-DX receivers.
  • Dante carries the receiver audio to a compatible console or network-audio endpoint.
  • Receiver control and the receiving antenna system are configured around the production and regional RF band.
Audio
DANTE is the network-audio handoff for the four microphone channels.
Control
CTRL is the receiver-control network patch. Network mode and switch configuration follow the build.
RF & power
One ANT socket on the illustrated rear · AC IN. The complete receiving antenna system is selected separately.
